Sprinter Tour 2010

It was fun to watch Rob and Jan Wilson, travel 30,000 plus miles, visiting 50 National Parks.

Here is a note from the site, after they completed the tour:
Dearest Fans, Friends, and Followers:

On behalf of Mercedes-Benz, we would like to extend a special thanks to everyone involved in making the first Sprinter Tour a success.

Rob and Jan Wilson deserve many thanks for sharing their spectacular 7-month, 33,465-mile adventure with the world. Without their initial vision and daily dedication, none of this would have been possible. From their detailed write-ups to their astounding photography, the Wilsons delivered more than expected and brought the national park experience to life. And they had plenty of help along the way thanks to the National Park Service.

We would also like to thank Airstream for upfitting the Sprinter. Their upfit solution allowed Rob and Jan to travel in comfort across America. The Sprinter dealer network was also critical to the tour’s success as their meticulous vehicle services literally kept the tour rolling. Our friends at Kilometer Magazine, Truck Trend Magazine, MotorHome Magazine, Mercedes-Benz Passion E-Blog, Luxist.com, InternetAutoGuide.com, TheHikeGuy.com, Rvtraveltv.com, and Merrell.com also deserve thanks for promoting the Sprinter Tour with online articles, blog posts, and videos.

But most of all, we’d like to thank the fans. Each of you enthusiastically joined and supported Rob and Jan on their journey to discover America’s national parks. Your daily interactions on Sprinter Tour social networks created buzz and at times became part of the tour experience itself. Although the tour may be over, we hope Rob and Jan’s message to “get outside” will live forever.

Sincerely,
Antje Williams

The Orange County Register - 100th year Anniversary Party

Great night with my fellow coworkers and their families at a private party for The Orange County Register, celebrating 100 years.

One of the last large functions before the company ended it's founder's  family ties due toour economy and the failure of so many newspaper businesses.  We are living in a true digital age and media must adapt or fail.
